1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how ARG Garage LLC ("ARG Garage", "we") collects, uses and shares information when you use arggarage.com and related services (the "Platform"). Contact: infoarggarage@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us:

• Account data: name, email, password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider), phone, ZIP code, language and account type.
• Profile data: photo, preferred contact method and, for dealers, business name, legal name, company type, address, hours, website, logo, license number and state, EIN and manager contact.
• Listing data: vehicle details, VIN or serial number, photos (including VIN photos, which are private and only visible to our team), price, mileage, location and optional financing terms.
• Messages you send and receive through our chat, and reports you submit.
• Payment data: the amount, date and status of your purchases. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.
• Verification documents you choose to upload.

Information collected automatically:

• Device and log data: IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, referring pages and dates/times.
• Approximate location derived from your IP address (city or region), used to show nearby featured listings.
• Cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your language, and aggregate counts of listing views and clicks.
• Third-party advertising: if a page shows Google ads (AdSense), Google may use cookies or identifiers to serve them, limit how often you see the same ad and detect fraud. We request non-personalized ads, which are not based on your activity on other sites. You can see how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Banners from direct advertisers only count clicks, without cookies.

Information from others: public vehicle data (NHTSA, EPA), ZIP code data (GeoNames) and payment confirmations from Stripe.

3. How we use information

• Create and manage accounts, listings, dealer pages and messages.
• Show listings near you, sort search results and display featured and sponsored placements.
• Verify dealers and listings, and prevent fraud, spam, curbstoning and abuse.
• Process payments and send receipts and service notices.
• Provide support, measure performance and improve the Platform.
• Comply with law, enforce our Terms and protect users.
• Send marketing only if you agree; you can opt out at any time.

4. What is public

• Listings are public: vehicle details, photos (except VIN photos), VIN, price, mileage, city and state.
• For private sellers we show only the first name. Phone, email and address stay private until you accept a buyer's inquiry in the chat.
• Dealer business information (name, logo, address, phone, hours, website) is public.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:

• With the other user when you accept an inquiry or send a message.
• With service providers that help us operate: hosting and database (e.g., Vercel, Supabase), payments (Stripe), email delivery and analytics, under confidentiality obligations.
• When required by law, subpoena or to protect rights, safety and prevent fraud.
• In a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
• With your consent.

6. Retention

We keep information while your account is active and as needed for the purposes above. Removed listings and closed accounts may be kept for a limited time for fraud prevention, legal and accounting reasons, and then deleted or anonymized.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and database-level security rules. Private files (VIN photos, verification documents) are only accessible to their owner and our team. No system is completely secure; please use a strong, unique password.

8. Your choices and rights

• Access and update your data from your account.
• Delete listings at any time and request deletion of your account.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails.
• Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell or use it for targeted advertising.

Send requests to infoarggarage@gmail.com. We will verify your identity and answer within the time required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent.

9. Children

The Platform is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and users must be 18 or older.

10. Where data is processed

We operate in the United States. If you access the Platform from another country, your information will be processed in the United States.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. We will post the new version with its date and notify you of material changes.
