ARG Garage LLC operates an online marketplace and software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform. We do not own, sell, buy, inspect, finance, insure, ship or guarantee any vehicle, and we are not a party to any transaction between users. We are not a licensed motor vehicle dealer.

Information published by users

Listings, photos, VINs, mileage, title status, prices, financing terms, dealer information and reviews are provided by users. ARG Garage does not verify them and is not responsible for false, altered, incomplete, outdated or misleading information, for the condition or legality of any vehicle, or for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline.

Title status is declared by the seller

The title type (clean, rebuilt, salvage, flood or another brand) and whether there is an outstanding loan or lien are declared by the seller when publishing, and ARG Garage does not verify them. NHTSA’s public database (vPIC) describes how the vehicle left the factory, but it does not record title status: that is administered by each state’s motor vehicle agency.

A national title-brand database does exist, NMVTIS (U.S. Department of Justice), reachable through approved providers for a fee. ARG Garage does not query it and does not provide history reports. Before you pay, we recommend ordering a VIN history report, checking open recalls with NHTSA, reviewing the physical title with the seller, and considering a mechanical inspection.

Prices, payments and data are estimates

• Estimated totals may not include taxes, title, registration, dealer or documentation fees.
• Estimated monthly payments are calculated from terms entered by the dealer, exclude taxes and fees and are subject to credit approval by a lender. They are not an offer of credit by ARG Garage.
• Vehicle specifications, fuel economy and model data come from public sources (NHTSA vPIC, EPA fueleconomy.gov) and from users, and may contain errors.
• Featured and sponsored placements are paid advertising and are labeled as such. They are not recommendations.

State rules: reference information only

Private-seller limits, taxes, title and registration fees shown on the Platform are reference information gathered from public sources. They may be out of date or wrong, and they are not legal or tax advice. Only Florida and Texas are verified against the statute; every other state is reference only.

ARG Garage does not count your sales and does not police whether you need a dealer license. Listing on the Platform does not mean your sale is lawful in your state. Before selling more vehicles than your state allows, check with your state motor vehicle agency or an attorney.

Trademarks and images

Vehicle makes, models and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify vehicles. ARG Garage is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any manufacturer, dealer, the EPA or NHTSA unless expressly stated. Some images and videos on this site are illustrative and generated with artificial intelligence.

Stay safe: before you pay

• Meet in a public, well-lit place, or at the dealership. Bring someone with you.
• See the vehicle in person and have an independent mechanic inspect it.
• Check the VIN on the vehicle, the title and the listing; run a vehicle history report and check open recalls at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
• Make sure the name on the title and the seller's ID match. Ask about liens.
• Never pay by wire transfer, gift cards, cryptocurrency or to an "escrow" or shipping company the seller suggests.
• Be wary of prices far below market, sellers who "are overseas", or requests to move the conversation off the platform.
• Complete the title transfer and bill of sale according to your state's rules.
